Deccan Herald revitalises its online presence: revamps Deccanherald.com

Deccan Herald, Karnataka’s leading newspaper has revamped its entire portal to accommodate web 2.0 features with an aim to engage online users. The redesign effort was carried out to compliment the newspaper’s new look in print.

The new design has a cleaner appeal with the top menu rendering consistency across the entire portal, which enables easy navigation and quick access to information. The backend platform is scalable for further growth as may be required.

 The architecture of each page is such that it is easier to read and navigate. You will find trusted news and information besides all your regular features. Designed with the intent to encourage user interactivity, the portal now allows user comments, article rating and sharing.
The supplements have been distinctively placed in the new layout with sections to showcase events, news, views & happenings for each day of the week.

The portal also offers dedicated sections for videos & photos allowing the user to bookmark, share and embed them into their websites & blogs. The website offers live cricket scores & market updates. Blogs, polls, movie guide and weather report will ensure that the reader gets to have more on the new portal.

Users will also have a leisure section with interactive games like Sudoku & crossword. Lastly, the newly redesign, we hope, exemplifies the can-do and youngish personality of the new Deccan Herald.
