The protest had been organised in response to the nation-wide agitation call given by RSS National Executive Committee.

Activists in large numbers including women who had gathered at the protest venue alleged that the Centre is trying to malign the image of Hindu outfits especially RSS by linking it with terrorism in the name of ‘saffron terrorism’.

It’s nothing but a conspiracy to defame the organisations that have been fighting for the cause of hindutva for several decades.

It has been the RSS that has been raising its voice against terrorism, considering the interest of the nation.

The placards held by the protesters read that ‘Strength of the nation lies in RSS’, ‘India’s existence depends on the Culture’, ‘Be proud to be a Hindu’ among several others.Medical Education and district in-charge Minister S A Ramdas joined the protesters later.

Pramukh, southern wing of RSS, Venkataram, kshetriya boudhik pramukhs Nagaraj and Dr Vaman Rao Bapat, Ganeshananda Swamiji of Ganjam Mutt, Ilai Alwar Swamiji, Hosamath Seer Sri Chidananda, Neelkanta Mutt Seer Sri Siddamalla and several others were present.
