Israeli IT cos eye unique ID project

Briefing reporters, during Israeli IT delegation’s visit here, Sagiv said Israeli companies such as Netwise have expertise in developing e-governance solutions and can jointly bid for the project with Indian companies. “Israeli IT sector has several start ups with innovative ideas,” Sagiv said adding “they can complement with Indian companies who have vast experience in providing software services.”

The IT delegation consisting of 13 companies has been visiting Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi to acclimatise with Indian IT industry and find suitable partners.

“Israel has emerged as one of the important R&D centres for several US companies,” said Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute Business Development Manager — Software Industry Katrin Melamed.

To enable greater trade cooperation’s with India, the Israeli government has designed the programme — Shavit to fund the visits of trade delegations to India. 

The 13 companies represented in the delegation provide IT security, e-governance, BFSI and new media solutions.
