VCA lowers ticket rate to attract spectators for Third Test

"The lowest ticket for East wing will be Rs 200 for season and highest will be Rs 1000 for members stand (AC). Daily tickets will be Rs 50 per ticket," VCA president Sudhir Dabir said at a press conference here.

Sale of tickets for general public would commence from November 15, he said. Dabir said the VCA was approaching private schools in the city to send children for the five-day match to encourage them take fancy to the longer version of the game.

The third Test will be held at the Jamtha Stadium here from November 20-24. Both the teams are scheduled to arrive here from Hyderabad, where the second Test will begin from tomorrow, on November 17 by a chartered flight.

The teams will have a practise session at Jamtha on November 18 and 19. Simon Taufel and Nigel Liong are ICC field umpires and Ranjan Madugalle is the match referee. Sanjay Hazare and K Srinath are the third and fourth umpires respectively, Media Committee chief Rajan Nair said.
