Nasscom Animation and Gaming Conclave begins in Hyderabad

Ghose in his address said that Indian animators and visual effect experts have reached the state of co-production with their counter parts else where in the world. “Out of the $40 million animation market, at least $17 to $18 million came from loyal subscribers who consider our work very competitive,” Ghose added. He said that the future of this segment seems bright with Big Budget animation coming to Indian shores.

NASSCOM Vice President Rajeev Vaishnav said that Indian animators have created a niche area in this industry with successful characters like Chota Bheem. “The Confidence is building with a large pool of talent ready to explore this field. According to estimates there will be 47 million people in working age by 2020, creating seamless demand,” he said.
The conclave is being organised in two tracks, the Animation Business track and Gaming Business Track.
