Feast of classic film for Mangaloreans

The classic cinemas to be screened are ‘Belli Moda’, ‘Tied Hands’, ‘Turtles can Fly’, ‘Spring Summer Fall Winter’, ‘Train in the Tenth Floor’, ‘Jumping over the puddle Again’, ‘Yesterday’, ‘The Chorus’, ‘The Battle of Algiers’, ‘City Lights’, ‘’Pick Pocket’, ‘The Return’, ‘Pasanga’, ‘The President’s Barber’, ‘White Ballon’ and ‘The Road Home’.

As many as 16 international classics will be screened for 4 days at Don Bosco Auditorium.
The passes of Rs 100 for public and Rs 50 (for all 4 days) will be available at few centres, he informed and added that a 'one day' delegate pass of Rs 50 will also be made available for those who wish to watch one show or all screenings of one day.

The interested can collect delegate passes at Mahesh PU College, Kudroli, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavana, Pandeshwara, Ganapathy Junior College, Dr H M Somashekharappa of Mangalore University, Govindadas College, Suratkal, Karnataka Govt Polytechnic College Mangalore, Ambit Computers, Gokul Market.

A seminar will also be organised on November 14 at 4.30 pm at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan as part of the film festival. Social Scientist and Visiting Professor in Coimbatore University Dr Willy R D'Silva and 'Gubbacchigalu' director Abhaya Simha will present papers on 'Cinema-a narrative'.
