Applications invited for TIS programme

KVT & SDC (Karnataka Vocational Training & Skill Development Corporation) Government of Karnataka has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with RiiiT, Mysore to sponsor training and placement programme for unemployed engineering, science graduates and diploma students.

The programme is sponsoring fees to selected students under "UNNATI" scheme (100 per cent sponsorship to students belonging to 114 backward, more backward and most backward taluks) and "PRAGATI" scheme (50 per cent sponsorship to the students of remaining districts)

Already more than 170 Engineering and Science graduates selected from various parts of Karnataka have been trained and most of them are placed in various software companies including CMM -Level 3, CMM -Level 4 companies.

Programme

The present batch consists of 272 engineering, science and diploma students passed out in the year 2010 undergoing industry vouched training and placement programme.

The new batch for Technology Infrastructure Services (TIS), 3 months full time course and Advanced Diploma in Software Programming (ADSP), 4 months full time will start from November 26.

Entrance test

Interested students must attend the entrance test and selection process on November 19 at 10 am in the city. The entrance test will be held at RiiiT, Plot No 261, KIADB Land, Hebbal Industrial Area.

Eligibility criteria: For ADSP [BE CS/IS/EC/EE), (BCA, MCA, M Sc, (IT, CS) and MTech with 50 per cent aggregate in 10th, 12th and Degree, passed out in 2009 / 2010.  For TIS [BE, B Sc, and Diploma with 45 per cent aggregate in 10th, 12th Degree/Diploma passed out in 2009/2010.
