'Rural kids lack encouragement'

Rural children lack proper platform to bring out their talent when compared to students studying in urban areas, said Teachers’ Association, taluk unit’s former president Devakumar.

He was speaking after inaugurating ‘Prathiba Karanji’ at Vivekananda Higher Primary School in Yalburgi, Bangarpet taluk on Tuesday.

Lack opportunities

Children in urban areas get ample opportunities to showcase their talent besides, have good organisations that nurture them but the rural children are deprived of them.
“Children in rural areas have to work in field and take responsibility of their house  before they leave for schools. They will have no time to nurture their hobby. With no encouragement from any corner, their talent dies early death,” he remarked.

Resource person Nagaraj was present at the programme.

Universal brotherhood

Caste differences are getting more prominent than ever, these days. Such differences can be bridged only through celebrations like Kanakadasa Jayanti, which advocate universal brotherhood, said Government Urdu Lower Primary School teacher C S Nagaraja Rao.

He was addressing the students on the occasion of Kanakadasa Jayanthi at Ithandahalli in Bangarpet on Wednesday.

Teacher Naaz Zabin, School Development and Monitoring Committee Shoukat Ali and Teachers’ Association, taluk unit’s former president Devakumar were present.
