Feasibility study of M'lore Ring Road by March

Addressing reporters after a review meeting in Bangalore on Wednesday, Mangalore City South MLA and chairman of the Karnataka State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Board N Yogish Bhat, and Coastal Development Authority chairman B Nagaraja Shetty said the ring road was proposed to be taken up on a public-private-partnership basis.
Rs 1,000-cr project

Tourism, residential and commercial hubs have been also planned around the ring road. The cost of the entire project is estimated at Rs 1,000 crore.

There is also a proposal for a town planning scheme where residents will be made partners in development, they said.

A 25-acre aquamarine park and a 18-hole world-class golf course will come up adjacent to the ring road at a cost of Rs 250 crore.

The ring road will falicitate speedier movement of vehicles on three major national highways - NH 13, NH 17 and NH 48, they said.
