Pay your water cess, sans interest: VVWW

The MCC council had already discussed on waiving off the interest rate and the proposal has been forwarded to the government. The arrears are calculated up to Rs 68.50 crore from majority of the total 1.34 lakh connections here.

Due to the non-payment of the arrears, VVWW is finding it difficult to take up development works, besides paying for the works that have been already launched. To facilitate the ongoing works, the authorities have requested such consumers to clear the arrears without any interest rate.

Minister coming

Urban Development, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister S Suresh Kumar will be arriving here on December 6 to participate in a programme organised by the Police Department, said a press release.
