RIL, ONGC past week's biggest m-cap gainers

Last week, the BSE Sensex had gained 4.33 per cent to close at 19,966.93 at the end of Friday's trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange.The market valuation of the country's most worthy firm Reliance Industries (RIL) advanced by Rs 14,372.53 crore to Rs 3,29,355.47 crore in Friday's trade.

Similarly, the m-cap of state-run ONGC also edged higher by Rs 17,966.51 crore to Rs 2,82,352.23 crore. Together these two firms added Rs 32,339 crore to the total valuation of the top-10 companies.

The scrip of RIL had witnessed a jump of 4.55 per cent during the past week, while ONGC's share zoomed 6.79 per cent during the period.Besides, two of the IT majors -- TCS and Infosys Technologies -- together added Rs 14,509.17 crore to their cumulative valuation. The m-cap of TCS stood at Rs 2,14,401.47 crore, while that of Infosys was at Rs 1,79,272.69 crore.

Coal India's m-cap too surged by Rs 6,158.45 crore to Rs 2,03,576.28 crore. Public-sector lender SBI added Rs 13,490.36 crore to take its m-cap to Rs 1,95,024.48 crore, while ICICI Bank added Rs 6,557 crore to drive its valuation to Rs 1,35,729.23 crore.

Power major NTPC saw its valuation enlarging by Rs 6,843.73 crore to Rs 1,52,582.24 crore. FMCG honcho ITC too added Rs 2,855.51 crore to its market valuation which stood at Rs 1,31,959.15 crore.Top private telco Bharti Airtel witnessed an addition of Rs 4,632.97 crore to take its valuation to Rs 1,31,299.25 crore.
