The party had organised a divisional-level meeting in connection with the coming elections to taluk and zilla panchayats at a choultry in the city. The minister came to the party convention in the official car.
On receiving information, the returning officer seized the car. However, other ministers and chairmen of various boards and corporations had come in private vehicles.
