Three girls die in Uttar Pradesh school wall collapse

The accident took place in the primary school in Hariyanwa town, where the wall collapsed after a tractor deployed for construction activities rammed into it.

"The three girls, aged 6-7 years old, died on the spot," Additional Superintendent of Police Hardesh Kumar told IANS on phone from Hardoi, some 110 km from here.

"A tractor laden with mud collided with the wall, which collapsed on the three girls who were standing near it and having lunch during the recess," he added.

According to police, two of the girls were students of Class two, and the third studied in Class one.

"We have registered no case in connection with the incident as the girls' families have not approached us. If they will come to us, we will surely register a case," Kumar said.
