Speaking after inaugurating a two-day workshop on ‘Fast track construction’ organised by Mysore chapter of CREDAI here, he said at present, this technology was being practiced all over the country, as it low cost when compared to the traditional method of construction.
The semi-skilled labourers could be trained in order to bring down the cost further.
Sushil noted that the field of construction has witnessed a sea change in the country with the advent of new technologies. Most of them were cost effective and affordable. But, they need to train the labourers so that the cost of the new technology comes down further.
Managing director, Tandon Constructions Private Limited, Prof Mahesh Tandon quoted an example of building 9 km fly over in New Delhi within a record 20 months. The fly over is situated 70 feet above the ground and it has been built by using new technology. Many more new technologies may come in the field of construction, he added.
