He was speaking after inaugurating the annual sports meet organised for the police at th Police Parade grounds here, on Monday.

Family events

Sports meet for the police personnel is not restricted for only the staff, but also for their family members.

It is also an occasion for the staff to spend time with their families apart from unleashing their sporting talent, Sankolli added.

Such meets also help in providing physical and mental relief to th otherwise stressed-out police.

Felicitation

Police personnel Munivenkatappa and Amarnath were felicitated. Besides, Auto Kumar, an auto driver who helps in transporting unclaimed corps was also honoured.

District Police Superintendent of Police T D Pawar, Deputy Superintendent of Police H T Duggappa and Circle Inspector S Shiva Kumar were present.
