KFC opens 100th store

Spread across 2,700 sq ft, it boasts of contemporary youthful asset style serving all of KFC’s trademark products.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, Marketing Director Unnat Varma said the company is looking to enhance its presence in India since India is KFC’s largest market with 105 outlets presently operating here.

Varma said “with this (Cunningham Road) outlet, we aim to make the brand accessible to larger consumer base and serve the growing demand for KFC food.” The company, he said, was constantly experimenting with consumers’ needs and market trends and in that way, has expanded from operating in 12 to 13 cities from end of last year to 21 cities end of last month. 

“In next 5 years, we aim to open 500 outlets expanding to 75 cities, apart from enhancing employee base to 50,000,” he said, adding KFC would also introduce some of its other international range of products. The company has achieved 75 per cent topline sales growth (Y-O-Y) since the last 5 years, he added.
