K Krishna and others had filed a petition stating that the BDA demolished their houses without notice. Justice D V Shylendra Kumar ordered compensation to the tune of Rs two lakh for houses with RCC roof and Rs one lakh for houses with asbestos sheet roofing.
The petitioners have also been given the liberty of approaching the civil court for remedy.
