Speaking after inaugurating the ‘International Day for Disabled’, organised by the MOB Rural Health Centre, at IMA auditorium here recently, he said the primary level officers should be committed in taking the benefits to the real beneficiaries. These officials should have a thorough knowledge of the government projects meant for them, as majority of those who want to avail the benefits come in contact with these officials initially.
A committee headed by the Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer has been formed to monitor whether the various benefits including three percent reservation in all the departments are being implemented judiciously. A progress review meeting will be convened on December 28, he added.
Plans are on the anvil to distribute smart cards for the differently abled to enjoy total benefits of the projects meant for them and set up an exclusive centre for the Physically Challenged to avail all facilities at one point.
