<p>R Divya (24) from Kanakapur and Jyothirmayi (26) from West Bengal died on the spot. Sumeet Deb (28) of Jharkhand and Damodar Shetty (25) of Kundapur are in critical condition. <br /><br />The four employees of the First Source Solutions Call Centre in Sarjapur, had planned an excursion to Wonder La near Bidadi, the Kamakshipalya police said.<br /><br />Sumeet and Damodar stayed in JP Nagar, Divya in a paying guest accommodation in Malleswaram, and Jyothirmayi in Hebbal. They were travelling in Sumeet’s car. Shetty, who was driving the car, lost control over the wheel while negotiating a curve near a flyover on the Outer Ring Road. <br /><br />The car rammed the median, carromed off it for some distance, hit an electric pole and toppled. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Divya, who sustained multiple injuries died on the spot; Jyothirmayi died while being shifted to a hospital. Sumeet and Shetty, who sustained severe injuries on head and back, are undergoing treatment in separate hospitals. <br /><br />“Doctors said their condition is still critical. Overspeeding, rash and negligent driving are the cause for the accident,” said the police. <br /><br />Divya’s body was handed over to her parents after a post-mortem, while Jyothirmayi’s parents are on their way to Bangalore.<br /><br />The police had to deploy additional force to disperse the onlookers at the accident spot and ease the flow of traffic on the road. <br /></p>
