JOIN USIn a press release here, Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Harsh Guypta said all the poll personnel left for their polling stations collecting poll materials and the Electronic Voting Machine (EVMs).
They were ferried to the polling stations in the buses. The tahsildars and block electoral officers are assisting for holding the elections in a peaceful manner.Tight security arrangements are made in all 46 zilla panchayat and 171 taluk panchayat constitutencies in the district.
There are 1,567 polling stations including 27 additional booths and each and every booth has been provided adequate protection. Of the total 1,567 booths, there are 508 sensitive and 321 hyper-sensitive polling booths in the district. As many as 13.23 voters including 6.48 lakh voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in Friday’s polling.The DC has sought people’s cooperation to conduct the election smoothly without any untoward incidents.
