‘Nritya Vaibhava’

Ananya is holding Nritya Vaibhava-5 on January 2, 6 pm at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Nritya Vaibhava is a celebration of the grandeur of dance and showcases the skill and proficiency of established dancers and dance teachers. Nritya Vaibhava-5 is a special series presenting non-resident Indian dancers while they are in India during the season to accomplish their passion. ‘Sugama Sangama’

Sri Akhila Havyaka Sabha is organising a Sugama Sangama a light and music programme by Shrikant Kulkarni and group on January 8, 5 pm at Havyaka Sabha Bhavana, 101, 11th Cross, 8th Main Malleswaram.

Dance movements

Sai Arts International is organising Sai Nrityotsav-20 on January 1 at 5.30 pm at Seva Sadan Auditorium, 14th Cross, Malleswaram.

Divya Venkatesh will perform bharatanatyam while Sarita Misra will perform
odissi. Vijay Palaparty and Nalini Prakash will also perform on the occasion.  

Craft world

The Central Cottage Industries Emporium (CCIE) is hosting an exhibition of crafts from all over the country at Safina Plaza till January 2, 10 am to 8 pm.

‘Dharamastamba’

Antharanga is staging Dharamastamba, a play based on the story of K N Ganeshiah on January 3 at Ravindra Kalashetra at 7 pm. The play is directed by Archana Shyam who has also designed the costumes.

The play dates back to the period of King Ashoka and is packed with drama and suspense. For details, call 9880914509.  

Harmonium concert

There will be a Karnataki harmonium solo by C Ramdas on January 2, 6 pm at Gokhale Institute of Public Affairs, Basavanagudi.

‘Save Earth’ 

Punaruthana is organising a concert titled, Save Earth to Save Yourself on January 1,
6.30 pm at Gayathri Vihar, Palace Grounds. There will be a performance by Shivamani, Balabhasker and Laya Taranga. For details, call 42064969.

‘Swagatham Krishna’

ISKCON is organising Swagatham Krishna, a cultural evening of Sri Krishna Kalakshetra on January 1 from 5 pm to 6 pm at ISKCON, Sri Radha Krishna Mandir.

M S Sheela will be accompanied by artistes like J K Shridhar on the violin, Amit Nadig on the flute, V Krishna on the mridangam, Pradyumna on the tabla and Krishna on the rhythm pad. For details, call 23471956. 

Musical treat

Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira is organising a music concert by Prince
Ramavarma on January 1 at Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira Sabhangana at 5.45 pm. He will be accompanied by V Praveen on the mridangam and G Omkar Rao on the ghatam.

‘Sankranthi Music Festival’ 

Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira is organising a Sankranthi Music Festival from January 2 to January 7 at Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira Sabhangana. K Gayathri will perform on January 2. She will be accompanied by B K Raghu on the violin and C Chaluvaraju on the mridangam.

V R Dileep Kumar will perform on January 3. He will be accompanied by Avaneeshwarm S R Vinu on the violin and Nanjil Arul on the mridangam.

Radha Bhaskar will perform on January 4 and will be accompanied by Charulatha Ramanujam on the violin and B C Manjunath on the mridangam. Vrinda Acharya will perform on January 5 and will be accompanied by H V Raghuram on the violin and R Adhamya on the mridangam. All concerts will start at 5.45 pm. For details, call 26710766.
