Here are some facts about the beautiful Furflower just in case you decide to grow one.

Furflower – genus: fattus catus.

1) Furflowers grow exclusively on artist’s desks. They bloom best on delicate charcoal or pastel works.

2) Furflowers should never be watered directly. This causes the flower to wilt. Instead they should be fed large quantities of chopped chicken liver and boiled fish. Pungent smelling dry furflower food also produces beautiful large blooms.

3) When a Furflower blooms, it usually produces a deep sound from within – brrrrrrr rrrrrr rrrrrrr, continuously for the length of the bloom. This is called ‘furring’. This means that the Furflower has been fed well.

4) These magnificent flowers can remain in bloom for ten hours or more if fed an extra large quantity of food in the morning and allowed to remain undisturbed.

5) WARNING: Furflowers can be lethal. Touching a furflower can result in  a sharp thorn ejecting instantly from within the fur and drawing blood.  Therefore the blooms are best left undisturbed or handled by trained Furflower experts.
