Minister for Defence Equipment Support and Technology Peter Luff will lead the British delegation to Aero India show.

Close to 40 British companies will be showcasing their capabilities and products and are intent on forging long-lasting industrial partnerships and joint ventures with Indian companies, a British High Commission release said here today.

"Our strategic relationship with India is very important, one we value and we are keen to engage in both the defence and security sectors to enhance this relationship," it said quoting Luff.

On the support for Eurofighter's bid in India’s Medium Multi Role Combat Aircraft tender, the Minister said, "In this regard, the UK, German, Italian and Spanish governments are delighted to offer the Eurofighter Typhoon. All four governments are represented at the show by ministerial teams."

Luff would be accompanied to the show by British High Commissioner to India Sir Richard Stagg and Head of UK Trade and Investment’s Defence and Security Organisation (UKTIDSO) Richard Paniguian.

Companies such as BAE Systems and Rolls Royce would be present at the show along with Cobham, Hampson, Magellan, STG and Preston.
