Heavy rains predicted

 The wall of a house belonging to Rukmayya Poojary was partially damaged owing to the rains in Macchina in Belthangady on Tuesday.

 In the last 24 hours, Bantwal has received 62.8 mm, Belthangady 67 mm, Puttur 52.10 mm, Sullia 58.2 mm and Mangalore 26.4 mm rainfall.

Udupi received about 42.33 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours. Udupi taluk received 35 mm, Kundapur 33.80 mm and Karkala 58.20 mm rainfall. The district incurred a loss of 0.55 lakh in the last 24 hours. As many as 10 houses have been partially damaged. This include four houses in Udupi and 6 houses in Karkala taluk.
