Students design 'laterite stone shaping machine'

 The students designed the machine under the guidance of Prof Diwakar Shetty and Prof Chandrarao Madane. The students’ team comprised Sujan Kumar, Vishwas Prabhu, Balasubramanya, Sandesha, Sujan Kumat and Sharath.

The unique machine can shape 20 laterite stones in one hour. The machine was developed at an estimated cost of Rs 20,000. The machine can be modernised.
At present, the machine can be operated with the help of one person.  The machine will be useful for those who are involved in the costruction of building and well, according to the team members.
