'I'm a nobody trying to be a somebody'

Love will always wait, career will never,  says Adhyayan Suman, who was in the City to promote his latest film, Jashnn - The Music Within. The last time Adhyayan was in the City, he was shy, reserved and hidden under a cap. Six months later, a whole new Adhyayan was seen, much more free, open, cracking jokes and ready to talk just about anything under the sun.

Ask him if this change in attitude has anything to do with his break-up with Kangana, and he says, “Maybe, I don’t really know. Ever since the break-up, I have felt a lot more free and began to self-reflect on who I am as an individual, where my career is going and I guess this has brought out a whole new part of me.”    
 
From start to finish, Adhyayan has always been open about his relationship, but today he feels that this might have led to its downfall. “There was a lot of pressure for a newcomer like me. And being in an intense relationship and being open about it in public hindered everything,” he adds. But that doesn’t mean that he has given up on love, “Of course, I will date but only this time, I will be mum about the entire thing,” he adds.  
Though Raaz, the Mystery Continues will always be his special movie, it’s the role of Akash Verma in Jashnn that he totally relates to.

“When I read the script, I felt this was my story,” says Adhyayan while adding, “I have always been known as Shekhar Suman’s son but I am still an individual who is a nobody trying to be a somebody.”

Similarly in the movie as well, the protagonist tries to make it big as a singer but many obstacles, like love, comes in between. Eventually, the story unfolds to show how Akash faces his demons to realise his dream.  

The movie also stars Anjana Sukhani and Shahana Goswami as the leading ladies. “Working with both of them was an amazing experience. Interestingly, I was linked with both of them,” says Adhyayan. He described Shahana as one of the finest actresses in the industry and that he was very nervous when he first met her. “I had seen her work before and had found her extremely talented but when I had to face her, I didn’t know how to talk to her but it didn’t last very long as we clicked immediately,” he says.
As for his reel life love interest Anjana, it was definitely not love at first sight either. “For some reason, I didn’t like her at all at the beginning but gradually we turned out to be really good friends,” he adds.

The future too looks very bright for this young chap. He not only bagged the forthcoming Mahesh Bhatt flick but will also be seen in Dekh Bhai Dekh, where he will share screen space with his father.
“The leading lady will be selected via a reality show and I will be there to judge it. So I am very excited about it,” he adds.   

Jashnn, on the whole, for Adhyayan has been a real roller-coaster ride, not only professionally but also personally, and now he says that his fate of actually becoming ‘a somebody’ solely depends on the release of the movie. Now will Jashnn be reason enough for him to celebrate? We will have to wait and watch.
