<p>Dr N Subramanya, guest faculty, Department of Law, University of Mysore delivered the lecture. <br /><br />He spoke about the International Humanitarian Law and the origin, basic rules of International Humanitarian Law, International Committee of Red Cross and legal instruments in International Humanitarian Law. </p>.<p>He gave a detailed account of the establishment of Geneva Convention in the year 1882 and Peace Conference in the league in the year 1899. <br /><br />Humanitarian Law based on humanity is the best principle to be adopted by the individual groups and countries, "More important than Legal framework are the basic virtues of life namely love and respect to each other," he said.</p>.<p>College Principal Prof K V Prabhakara, Radha M S, Shreedhara and others were present. </p>
