US-India trade body names 10 new directors

The new batch of directors is an illustrious group with each new member bringing to the "USIBC board a unique and focused vision for advancing US-India commercial ties", the trade association seeking deeper trade and commercial ties with India said on Thursday.

"The US-India Business Council is delighted that such an esteemed group of professionals are willing to join forces under the banner of USIBC to advance US-India ties," said USIBC president Ron Somers.

"Their commitment is truly gratifying and I look forward to working with this distinguished group," he added.

The new appointees are: Nelson W. Cunningham, McLarty Associates; Bal G. Das, InsCap; Admiral (retired) Walter F. Doran, Raytheon; Brooks Entwistle, Goldman Sachs India; David P. Good, Tata Sons Ltd.; V.S. Gopi Gopinath, AT&T; Lawrence Leibowitz, NYSE Euronext; Raj Nathan, Sybase; Shailesh Rao, Google; and Manoj Singh, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.

USIBC is hosted under the aegis of the US Chamber of Commerce, the world's largest business federation representing more than three million businesses and organisations of every size, sector and region.
