But the arrested were out on bail the next day. <br /><br />The government was seriously considering invoking the Goonda Act against gamblers.<br />But any such action should be uniform across the country. Otherwise, law breakers would escape from Karnataka and carry on their business in other states. <br /><br />The Minister said that the betting menace was not confined to the State, but was rampant throughout the country.</p>
