Mahadevappa from Nadapanahalli Neeru Balakedarara Sahakari Sangha, K R Nagar has been elected as the Vice-President. The election for the said posts were held on Monday wherein Chaudegowda got 15 votes and Mahadevappa got 13 votes.
A R Sudharani and Prakash, two other contenders for the posts bagged 3 and 5 votes each respectively.
Newly elected President of the Federation Chaudegowda promised to work sincerely for the development of the organisation.
Congratulating the newly elected President and Vice-President Arakalagudu MLA A Manju said that Board must work for the betterment of the farmers. He said that the BJP Government has slashed down the amount of fund, which were provided to old Mysore province irrigation projects by previous governments.
Manju said that government used to sanction a total of Rs 840 crore but this year it has sanctioned Rs 421 crore of which only Rs 160 crore has been released.
