For ‘Seppan.com’, a Chennai-based animation venture, is presently headed by 14-year-old Sindhuja Rajaraman, who was applauded by the National Association of Software and Service Companies as  the world’s Youngest Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Fastest animator prize
Sindhuja was also adjudged the “fastest 2-D animator’ by NASSCOM at the ‘Gaming and Animation Conclave’ held in Hyderabad city last year.

Sindhuja, a ninth standard  student of a city school, has the rare privilege of having got an year’s ‘sabbatical’ so that she could pursue her prodigious talent in animation, says Ananda Kumar, head of non-governmental organisation ‘First Planet Technology (FPT)’, a four-year-old company imparting Information Technology (IT) training to job seekers here.

Recognising the teenager’s enormous potential, FPT has given her the space and human resources backup to float a new venture ‘Seppan.com’ to be developed into a full-fledged animation platform.

“It is part of our objective to create new entrepreneurs, by converting job seekers to job creators. Now, Sindhuja heads a six-member team. In eight hours, Sindhuja did a 20-minutes 2-D animation film on global warming single-handedly,” said Kumar.

New project
Now, Sindhuja is working on a new project, another 2-D film, ‘Virtual T Nagar’ that would help get rid of the hassles of shopping in Chennai’s most prestigious business district.

This apart, she is doing a 40-second advertisement for noted jewellery retailer ‘JoyAlukkas’.

Sindhuja’s father Rajaraman, hailing from backward Ramanathapuram district down South, is a cartoonist.  It was her father who inspired Sindhuja to get into this field.
“It all started five years back when I wanted to do something different from my studies,” Sindhuja added.
