Talking to reporters here, he said the BJP high command should take note of the same and save its face from embarrassment by asking the Chief Minister to step down.

Wait and watch policy

“We will wait and watch the response of the BJP to the FIR lodged against its CM,” he said.
Kumaraswamy said he was apprehensive about the Lokayukta investigation into the irregularities of the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues.

“The Lokayukta police, though not directly come under the influence of government but still we cannot be sure about a fair probe,” the JD(S) leader said.  Alleging that the Congress failed to play the role of a responsible Opposition, he said the Congress leaders were in a slumber.

“There is only 20 per cent of wrongdoings and irregularities of the BJP Government exposed till now. The JD (S) will expose the rest of the irregularities and corrupt activities of the Yeddyurappa Government soon,” he said.

The BJP high command, which talks about the irregularities and corruption of the Union Government, should peek into its own Chief Minister under the lens of the Lokayukta on corruption charges.

Police action condemned

He condemned the police atrocity on agricultural protesting labourers in Koppal and said the CM and Home Minister R Ashoka were oblivious to these developments.

The Government should act against the police officers responsible for the labourers who had been badly beaten up for staging a protest outside the Tahsildar's office.
