2 schools to be merged in N R Pura

Speaking at the Taluk Panchayat KDP meeting here on Wednesday, he said the merger of two schools will help the government economically. The government will supply textbooks to the government and aided schools. However, the private schools will have to send a DD for the textbooks to the BEOs office.

Textbooks will not be distributed in the shops. As many as 842 bicycles have to be distributed among the students. However, the bicycles have not yet come to the taluk, he informed.

About 20 Anganwadi workers will be retiring on March 31. All will be given Rs 30,000. From April, all the anganwadi workers will get Rs 4,500 and assistants will get Rs 2,500. About 25 anganwadis require building, to which the Taluk Panchayat should give its nod, said Member J G Nagaraj.

Agriculture department officer Sathyanarayana said “under Bhoochethana scheme, fertilisers are supplied with 50 per cent concession.”

Horticulture department will supply 200 ornamental plants to government departments. Financial assistance is being given under National Horticulture Mission for mechanisation, ‘palm’ plantations. Eleven arecanut growers will be given arecanut peeling machine, said Horticulture department officer Vasanthi.

TP president Prema directed Mescom engineer to set right the transformer which was burnt at Hosakere at the earliest. Mescom officer said that under Belaku scheme, CFL bulbs will be distributed to the households at the cost of Rs 15 per bulb. ZP engineer was asked to identify the illegal electricity connection for borewells in Simse and Gubbiga villages.
