Cars for every Indian player if team wins the World Cup

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), the official Car Partner of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, announced that all the members of the Indian Cricket team are set to win the all-new Hyundai Verna if they win the World Cup.

"As the official car partner for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, we will be extremely delighted to felicitate the Indian cricket team with the all-new Verna much ahead of its market launch in the country. I wish team India all the very best and hope that they realise the dream of the nation to win the World Cup," said H.W Park, chief executive of HMIL.

Dhoni, Sangakkara's time-out with HIV positive kids

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara took some time out to make the dreams of two HIV-infected children come true Friday.

The two captains met the children in their effort to raise awareness of the ICC’s 'Think Wise' partnership with UNAIDS and UNICEF. Other Indian players, including Sachin Tendulkar, also met the two children.

Players will wear red ribbons on their shirts in the final of the World Cup to show their support for the partnership.

Spectators asked to remain in stadium till the final finishes

A board at the Wankhede stadium says that spectators should not leave the midway through the match.

"Those who enter the stadium will not be allowed to leave before the finish of the match," reads the board.

A heavy security cover has been thrown around with many VVIPs and VIPs expected to watch the final and this must have prompted the move to ask the spectators to watch the entire match.
