<p>Speaking at the inauguration of a workshop on the implementation of Prof A Vaidyanathan report to the primary credit cooperative societies’ presidents and directors jointly organised by the Karnataka Apex Bank, Karnataka State Cooperative Federation, Kodagu district Cooperative Central Bank, Kodagu district Cooperative Union here on Friday, he said it is the responsibility of the management to protect agriculture credit cooperative societies. He said in the backdrop of the government announcing loan for farmers at the rate of one per cent interest, the cooperatives should implement it effectively. <br /><br />Kodagu district Cooperative Union President M P Muthappa said along with implementing the recommdendations of the Prof Vaidyanathan Committee report, the agriculture cooperative credit cooperative society should implement computersied auditing system.<br /> <br />The Vaidyanathan report has given full power to the cooperative societies and the agriculture credit cooperatives should make use of it to stregthen themsleves. <br /><br />Speaking after inaugurating computersied auditing system, Cooperative Societies Additional Registrar B H Manjappa said “with the implementation of the recommendations, lot of changes can be seen in the credit cooperatives. With the assistance from the central and the state governments, cooperatives can be rejuvenated.</p>
