The first copy of the book, containing caricatures of all foreign and Indian players, was received by CSL owner  Gurunath Meiyappan.

In the foreword, Dhoni wrote, “As a cricketer, I have been asked to sign autographs by my fans on all sorts of articles, from scraps of paper to soft drink bottles. Most of the fans either end up losing the autographs.

“One of my fans, who is an ardent autograph collector for more than 20 years, took my autograph on a caricature which really enthused me and on my suggestion he conceptualised a book of caricatures of Chennai Super Kings.”

‘Howzaat’ is not only an ideal book for fans to collect autographs of their favourite CSK players, but it also has funny caricatures. “I’m sure the fans would enjoy collecting autographs in this delightful collection as they cheer their favourite champion team,” Dhoni added.

A similar book titled ‘Stumped’ containing caricatures (in black and white) of the World Cup-winning Indian players cricket was released by Dhoni in Bangalore on February 28.
‘Howzaat’, however, carries caricatures of players in colour format. The caricatures were done by Shijo Varghese of Bangalore and published by N Vembu Iyer and the book can be purchased through www.cricketcaricatures.com.
