Briefing reporters, EMC India & Saarc President Alok Ohrie said the launch coincides with growing demand for personal storage, as non-computing devices are now adding new dimension to generation of personal digital content.
Iomega Vice President (Asia-Pacific) Rajeev Mukul said the storage devices is targeted at youngsters who identify themselves more with the data they collect such as music, videos and pictures. The storage devices would also be cost-effective option for small and home based businesses to save data.
Screenplay Pro hard drives can record, network and stream high-definition media. With half-a-terabyte of space, it can record TV programmes and let content be played from other sources.
