“I have very high respect for Amitabh, who is not only my colleague, but is like a brother. I personally feel there is no harm in seeking suggestions from anybody, as one keeps on learning every day. Lekin iss khel mein hum bhi mahir hain. Aur mein kisi ka nakal karne wala nahin hoon (But I am also a master of the game, and would not like to copy anybody),” Shatrughan, in his deep baritone, said.

Talking to Deccan Herald on the sidelines of a function, which marked the formal announcement of Bhojpuri KBC to be telecast on Mahua channel, Shotgun said, “My dear friend Amitabh has given record-breaking performance in KBC. And so has Shah Rukh Khan as its host. Par mera andaaz alag hee hoga (But my style will be completely different). If Big B used to say ‘Lock kiya jaye’, I might say Thappa lagaya jaye (Seal it).”

Refusing to divulge more about the game show format, the BJP MP from Patna Sahib, however, admitted that his actress-daughter Sonakshi Sinha, who debuted with Salman Khan in Dabangg, will be invited for the hot seat. “Salman may also be invited. But among the politicians, former finance minister Yashwant Sinha has given his consent to be on the hot seat. Later we will rope in Lalu Prasad, whose popularity, notwithstanding the media reports, remains undiminished in Hindi heartland,” said Lalu’s arch-rival Shatrughan.

The actor, a contemporary of Big B who has done over 250 films ever since he came to tinsel town in 1969, said he was conscious that comparisons between him and Amitabh would be made but he would try to prove better than the best. “If Amitabh is Big B, I am double B (BB - Bihari Babu). If not better than the best, then at least I will try to be different,” signed off Shotgun, before leaving to face light, camera, action.
