JOIN USA 28-year-old man was stabbed to death by bike-borne miscreants near Mohan theatre, Hegganahalli at Kamakshipalya on Tuesday night.
The deceased is Chikkathimme Gowda, a resident of Hegganahalli. At around 10 pm, he was on his way home on his two-wheeler after meeting his friends. Two persons came on a bike, stabbed him repeatedly and fled, the police said.
Passersby noticed Gowda lying in a pool of blood and shifted him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
The police said preliminary investigation revealed that he was working for JD(S) and recently, started working for the BJP. After he quit JD(S), he had developed rivalry with a few people and this might have led to the murder. The exact reason will be known only after the arrest of the assailants. A case has been registered at the Kamakshipalya police station.
