They are expecting huge crowds during the visit of anti-corruption crusaders like Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi, Swami Agnivesh and others during their forthcoming visit to the two cities.

“Reports from Bangalore and other cities are showing a burst of excitement as Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi, Swami Agnivesh and several others in the team are readying to visit these cities for public consultations on the Jan Lokpal Bill.  Early estimates indicate crowds of between 10,000 and 50,000 in cities like Mysore and Bangalore respectively,” said the organisers on Tuesday. Indicating a more vigorous phase for the movement,  the organizers have claimed that they have received SMS from thousands of people who have offered to volunteer for the cause.

“Fifty five thousand people from Delhi alone confirmed that they wanted to volunteer.  In Mumbai 10,000 responded positively,” said the organisers. They had sent SMS to 3,50,000 people in Delhi and 1, 00,000 in Mumbai asking if they wanted to volunteer for the Anna Hazare’s movement.

Organisers say that numerous organisations, eminent people, ordinary citizens, professionals, businesses, and others are contacting India Against Corruption centres pledging their support and wanting to assist in volunteer efforts.

The movement has organised a public march from Jantar Mantar to India Gate on May 1 to  express  their support for the Joint Drafting Committee for drafting up a strong anti-corruption law on the lines of the Jan Lokpal Bill.
