<p>The furry, longlegged arachnid, an Indian tarantula apparently belonging to the sub-family thrigmopoeinae, is large, with the dark-blue carapace being about 35 mm long and the legs on an average about 60 mm, covered with brownish hairs with yellow bands.<br /><br />Raghavendra carefully trapped the spider and took it to the Savanadurga forest, where he left it in the wild. A wildlife enthusiast, Raghavendra is known to collect snakes, spiders and scorpions and let them in the forest.<br /></p>
