Virajpet Town Panchayat President Kanthi Belliappa met CM B S Yeddyurappa in the presence of Assembly Deputy Speaker K G Bopaiah at Vidhan Soudha on Thursday. The CM had directed Urban Development department Secretary Ravindra to release Rs 2 crore under special grant scheme immediately.
“I can not tell that there is scarcity of funds for the development of Assembly Deputy Speaker K G Bopaiah’s constituency. I have respect towards Bopaiah,”said CM to Belliappa.
The CM also directed TP President to raise resources for the development of the town.
Janothsava
Chief Minister has agreed to release Rs 1 lakh through Kannada and Culture department to observe Gowri-Ganesh festival as Janothsava between August 23 and September 3.
The delegation which met CM include Janothsava Samithi and Town Panchayat member Koothanda Suresh Appayya, Town Panchayat Chief Officer H B Jettappa.
