'Save culture from being wiped out'

He was speaking at the book release of ‘South Indian folk encylopedia’ at KSOU, here on Monday. Appreciating the encyclopedia for taking into account the diversity of the four South Indian states, he said that it gives a platform for comparative studies. He said if the encyclopedia was brought out in English, it would benefit more readers.

Folklore expert Dr Ramegowda said the encyclopedia is on similar lines of the ‘Vishwakosha’ published by the University of Mysore.

 He said that this is a new milestone in the study of history.

KSOU Vice-Chancellor Prof K S Rangappa, Dr Arvius Sundaram, Dr S C Ramesh and others were present.
