Arts topper Israr wants to teach

A student of Cooperative Education Society at Hulakoti in Gadag, Israr Banu has secured a total of 572 in the 2010-11 II PU examinations.

She has secured 97 in Kannada, 88 in Hindi, 99 in History, 95 in Sociology, 98 in Political Science and 95 in Education.

“I do not know how to react to my success,” remarked an elated Israr Bhanu. “My confidence  was bolstered after I scored 578 in the preparatory examinations. Every day, I studied for five hours and the guidance of my lecturers helped me perform well in the exams. I want to pursue BA, BEd and become a teacher,” said Israr.

“Israr’s accomplishment has brought immense happiness to all of us. She never wasted a minute and was very particular about her studies,”  remarked Mansur Ali Bellary, Israr’s father. Former minister H K Patil visited the college and congratulated Israr Bhanu.
