JOIN USIn a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, he has said that a Rs 3 crore action plan was prepared for sinking borewells in the tank bed, construction of sumps and pumphouses to supply water to the City. The project, however was dropped following opposition from Naraspura villagers.
It takes at least three years for the completion of Yaragol project, which supplies water to the City. Sinking borewells in the tank bed has become inevitable to maintain water supply to the City till such time.
Kolar, as of now is reeling under acute shortage of water and an ordinance should be issued approving and extending financial assistance to the project, he has stated.
The councillor has also submitted a memorandum to the Municipal Commissioner urging to list the issue on the agenda of the City Municipal Council meeting and pass a resolution.
