The Governor had recommended to the Centre to impose President’s rule in the State with an aim to destabilise the democratically elected BJP government, Reddy said.

He was speaking to reporters after offering prayers for the stability of the government at the Kanakadurgamma temple in the city.

If the Centre does impose President’s rule, it will have to pay a heavy price throughout the country, the Minister said. If the government is dismissed, not a single Congress candidate will win in the next Assembly election, Reddy said.
