This movie will see the actor in a complete romantic avatar after almost a decade. High on the good response of his last movie, Shor in the City, the actor is looking forward to experimenting more. “I am very happy with the response and am hoping that it would have a positive effect on the promotions of the new movie too,” he says. The actor was in the City recently and spoke about the movie ‘Love U Mr Kalakaar’, his love for pets and his co-star Amrita Rao.

Tusshar saw much success in the Golmal series but says that he is not focusing on doing only character roles. “Sometimes character roles work for me but it was high time, I did a solo romantic movie,” he says.

“But generally, I choose whatever I like,” he adds. Tusshar says that it was the script of the movie ‘Love U Mr Kalakaar’ that got him on board. “I play a very chilled out, casual guy called Sahil, who works as a cartoonist and just wants to enjoy his life,” he says.

Acting for the first time in a Rajshri film, Tusshar is not worried about the content being too traditional. “The movie is very realistic and contemporary. Yet the characters are Indian,” he says. “Today’s youth in spite of their dressing style and behaviour are still very loyal and traditional at heart. Even in big cities like Mumbai, there are young people who go to pubs but are still living in a joint family. Being modern doesn’t necessarily mean being Bohemian,” he adds.

Tusshar also seems to be very surprised after interacting with Amrita during the shooting. “I just knew her socially before. It is only during this movie that I got to see the brattish side of her,” he says. Tusshar, who was in the City, for helping ‘People For Animals’ is a pet lover himself. “I love all animals but not lizards! I don’t think I would do anything to help them,” he says laughingly. The actor is looking forward to some interesting projects in the future. “I am doing Hum Tum Shabana and ‘The Dirty Picture’.”

About his role in the Silk Smitha biopic, he says, “I play a writer in the movie. I am also one of the love interests of Silk Smitha in the movie,” he says. And does he plan to get into any other role other than acting? “I am quite happy with the way my career is shaping up and maybe, I will get into film production,” he says.
