Congress backs Guv's move

The protestors took out a procession in the main streets of the town. A memorandum was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner K H Ashwathanarayana Gowda on the occasion.

Former Minister M M Nanaiah said in the backdrop of Supreme Court’s judgement on the disqualification of 16 MLAs, Assembly Speaker K G Bopaiah who disqualified the MLAs should tender resignation. Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa who used Bopaiah to save his government also should tender his resignation.

“No development works are taking place in the state. The BJP government is filled with corruption and scams. Such a government is not useful to the people of the state. Hence, Governor’s recommendation on the dismissal of the state government is correct,” he added.
Kodagu district Congress President B T Pradeep said “there is unrest in the state.

Karnataka was number one in the development in the past. However, now it is number one in corruption and scams.”

The Congress will continue to stage protest, till the government is dismissed.
Congress leaders T P Ramesh, K M B Ganesh, Girish, P A Haroona, K M Lokesh, Veena Acchaiah and others were present.
