'Missing mobile' delays Kingfisher flight

The flight which was to take off from Mangalore airport at 6.30 pm remained at the airport even an hour after the scheduled departure timing.

As many as 17 passengers were later sent by other flight almost an hour later. Another 48 passengers had to wait further to reach their destination.

Airport Director M R Vasudeva said that when the flight flew from Bangalore-Mangalore, one of the passengers has left behind his mobile phone in the aircraft accidently, which led to the delay.

However, the passengers of the delayed flight said that since the mobile phone was found in the engine of the aircraft, it led to the delay because the technical staff at the airport
