JOIN USSantosh Sarade (31), who was suffering from depression for the last one year, allegedly killed his daughter Riya and then hanged himself at Garudadri Apartment at Koodlu Gate at Parappapa Agrahara on Wednesday morning.
“The police did not question Sarade’s wife Sushma and his parents as they were in a state of shock. The police may question them to ascertain why Santosh went to the extent of killing his own daughter,” said a senior officer. Sources in the police department said Santosh was eccentric and short tempered.
Bid to loot ATM
Attempts to break into an ATM attached to Laksmi Vilas Bank, near Nelamangala turned futile, on Thursday.
As the neighbours raised an alarm, the culprits left the tools and vanished. Finger prints experts have been pressed into service, the police said.
